Principal's Message
We welcome the 2022-2023 school year with optimism and excitement. We are thrilled to have our students return for face-to-face instruction. We will do our best to keep all our students and community safe. If you have any questions, need information about practices and protocols, or need to speak with the administration, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to assist you!
Thank you for choosing our school for your child's education and for your continued patience during this ever-fluid time. We would like to extend a special welcome to all of the new families joining Escalante this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well! Our goal at Escalante is to work together to provide our students with a rich learning environment. Our vision is to ALWAYS put kids first! We believe that all students can learn. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive in all ways possible. We hope that all children will LOVE school and nurture a learning environment that is positive, safe, warm, caring, as well as a fun place to learn and grow.
Student success is attributed to the partnership and relationships we build within our community; this is MOST important now more than ever. It truly does take a village and at Escalante, we value teamwork and collaboration! Education is a joint venture and Team Escalante greatly appreciates the support you provide for your children at home and at school to help them meet their learning goals
New Assistant Principal
I have the pleasure of introducing our newest administrator to the Escalante community. Dr. Ana Rodriguez will be the new Assistant Principal at Escalante Elementary. She is from Brownsville, Texas, and has three kids. She loves to read, hike, quilt, sew, scrapbook, try new foods and see new places. Dr. Rodriguez has a Special Education background and has been in education for about 18 years. She is starting her third year with Salt Lake City School District and is excited to join the Escalante community and get to know everyone.
