Principal's Message
Dear Escalante Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I’m incredibly excited to begin this new year with you as the principal of Escalante Elementary. It’s an honor to continue serving this amazing community, and I’m looking forward to all the learning, growth, and connections the year will bring.
At Escalante, we are committed to building a school environment where every child feels safe, supported, and challenged to grow academically. This year, we will be especially focused on strengthening academic achievement and improving daily attendance. When students are in school regularly and on time, they build essential skills, develop strong relationships, and set the foundation for future success.
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 19th, and the first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. We ask for your partnership in making attendance a top priority—every day truly makes a difference! Just a reminder we had a change in our early dismissal time for this year. We will be getting out on early days at 1:30pm.
We also hope to see you at our Back to School Night on Monday, August 18th. The evening will begin with a parent meeting in the gym at 4:00 p.m., followed by three 20-minute classroom sessions at 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30 p.m. You only need to attend one session per student, so if you have more than one child, we encourage you to visit each of their classrooms during different time slots.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school community. Together, we can make this a joyful and successful year for all of our students. I’m looking forward to working alongside you to make this year Escalante’s best yet!
Warmly,
Sabrina Felsted
Principal, Escalante Elementary School
